The Best of Cheshire Produce
The Harvest Store Farm Shop specialises in stocking the best
Cheshire produce, sourced from small producers.
The wide choice includes -
Trish's Cakes
Trish is the Boss, works extremely hard, and makes fantastic cakes for both the
Tea Room & the Shop in the tea room's kitchen; the sort of cakes that your
mum or gran used to make. The cakes she makes include Sandwich cakes (Victoria,
Chocolate and Coffee & Walnut); Carrot; Stem Ginger (for which she won a
Great Taste Award in 2006 - no mean feat for a small Tea Room, that); the
immensely popular Reduced Sugar Tea Bread ( a favourite with slimmers and
diabetics) and the Gluten & Wheat Free Sandwich Cakes. Trish has also just
started making meringues and they are proving a real winner. And the only place
you can buy Trish's cakes is, understandably, right here.
Margery's Preserves
Margery makes Jams, Marmalades and Chutneys & Pickles in small batches in
the tea room's kitchen.
Her chutneys are never anything less than interesting, the latest being Green
Tomato & Gooseberry. Her marmalades are made using Seville oranges cut up by
her fair hand, and the jams are made using seasonal fruit.
The Creamiest & Best Ice Cream in
Cheshire from Buttertons.

After we tasted Rob Aspden's utterly fantastic ice cream we knew we'd found
something special. But don't just take our word for it. Many of the top hotels
and restaurants in Cheshire (including Crewe Hall, the Park Royal at Stretton,
Pecks Restaurant...to name but a few) have ditched their old suppliers and
turned to Rob.
But not only is this ice cream simply unbelievable, the Aspdens and crew are
genuinely brilliant people
